Sponsored by the American Library Association, Teen Read Week highlights new Young Adult authors and books. A Week of Constitution Day at the Library September 17th is Constitution Day. During the week, come see the library's displays and exhibits on this important document. Dare to be Scared! Our yearly event highlights books with Halloween themes. Children from our school's childcare center get a treat, too! Author Visits at the Library Celebrated author Sonya Sones conducts a writer's workshop. The writer of "What your Mother Doesn't Know" reads from her latest work and teaches a lesson the the next generation of writers. The Library thanks the wonderful organization California Readers for Sonya's visit. Banned Book Awareness Week Banned Book Week brings awareness to the issues of censorship and the First Amendment. A World of Love @ the Library Celebrate Valentine's Day at the library! Learn 50 ways to say "I Love You," or recite a poem from one of fifty countries. Don't forget to take the "A World of Love Quiz" to win boxes and boxes of chocolates! John F. Kennedy's Birthday Week Celebrate our school's namesake every June in the library. Manga Art Contest Winner!!! Winner! Congratulations to Shirlen Detablan for her winning artwork in the Library's Manga Art Contest. Shirlen wins a professional artist drawing kit.
